Stansted Airport Taxi (STN)

Terminal Information

Stansted Airport is a one terminal facility. The check-in area is on the ground floor of the terminal. To find your check-in desk, look for your flight number on the screens near the terminal entrance.

Once you've checked in and dropped off any baggage you'll need to pass through security control to reach the departure lounge. To avoid any delay to your journey, you are recommended to do this as early as possible.

Keep an eye on the flight information screens in the departure lounge which show flight numbers, destinations, boarding times and gate numbers. Boarding usually begins about 45 minutes before departure, and you should allow 12 minutes to get from the departures lounge to your gate.

Whilst flying into Stansted Airport and on leaving the aircraft, follow the signs for arrivals. If you're arriving on an international flight you will pass through passport control and Customs.

Airport Facilities

Stansted Airport has a range of bars and restaurants from dining in style to on the go eating. These include: Costa, Pret A Manger, Starbucks, Est Presso! and the Windmill Bar.

There is a large range of shops duty free bargains to your travel necessities. These include: WH Smith, Boots, The Body Shop, Goldsmiths and Foreign Exchange services.

Baggage trolleys are provided in the reclaim hall and other key areas in the terminal building, car parks, rail station and coach station. To obtain a trolley you will need a £1, €1 or $0.25 coin, which is refunded when the trolley is returned.

The airport chapel, which provides a prayer room for all faiths and denominations, can be found in Check-in Zone J, opposite Caffè Alba (before security control). Opening hours are 05:00 to 23:00 daily.

If you have a disability or you experience mobility difficulties and need assistance at the airport, you must inform your airline of your particular need at least 48 hours before you fly.

Pick-up and Drop-off Points

For both pick up and drop off, Stansted Airport recommend using the 'Drop & Go' area, immediately outside the terminal.
